Quad Installation on 51ft High-Speed Ferry

We are excited to announce the successful installation of quad COX CXO300 on a Gulf Craft Touring 51 high-speed ferry. The 51ft boat has a half load displacement of approximately 18 tons. We achieved a top speed of 35 knots with the first test propellers of 16"x 18". The trials have confirmed a slip factor of approximately 12%. We are therefore confident of reaching 40 knots with optimised propeller sizing.

The boat has just undergone its first service upon completion of 50 hours. This milestone was achieved within 12 days of commissioning reflecting the high usage hours common in the Maldives.
